Opportunities

In Addition to Yahya's Classes, our Tariqa Offers many Programs for your Personal and Spiritual Growth

The University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism

Our University is our premier program. It is a life-changing, intensive exercise in spiritual growth. At the school you will learn the levels of your being and how to navigate them, spiritual and energy healing, how to have loving relationships, and how to walk the Sufi way most effectively for you.

The school meets for one week every three months, and there is some light homework in between sessions. It is a three-year program, with optional teacher certification afterward. For those who are interested, we offer a Masters of Theology with some additional work.

After a year and a half of core curriculum, students at the University can choose one of four majors: energy/spiritual healing, ministry, peacemaking & global diplomacy, and business leadership.

Local Communities and Classes

There are many opportunities locally to practice, receive guidance, and attend classes. Sufi gatherings happen at least weekly where beloveds come together to practice and talk about the walking. Visiting teachers also come through on occasion. For more information on the Austin Sufi Center please visit www.suficenteraustin.org or email Yahya at tasawuf@gmail.com.

Yearly Sufi Schools

Once a year, each region hosts a week-long event we call "Sufi School." For one week you may immerse yourself in Sufi teachings and practices with a whole host of visiting teachers from within our Order. The Sufi Schools are summer events and take place in California, Pennsylvania, Austin, and Chicago.

On your Own

You can walk this path even if you do not live close to one of our communities. Once you learn the practices, you may practice on your own, join other beloveds on any of our many telephone conference calls, and participate on email lists. It is recommended that once a year you attend one of the Sufi Schools.

What if I don't Have Money?

You do not need money to walk in this way. Many teachings are offered free of charge, and most teachers make themselves available to help you. Many of our activities are by donation, which allows anyone to participate regardless of financial ability. The Shadhiliyya encourage hard work and being a contributing member of society, but also care for the needy.
