This class is designed for new initiates to the Shadhuliyya Order and is often taught after the Austin Sufi School. It is recommended that any beloveds who have taken hands with the Sheikh in the last year take this class. The class introduces the initiate to the foundations of the Shadhiliyya Way, concepts for success in walking the path, important practices, and ways of interacting with the community. Training in key practices is given.
There are certain master keys which unlock every station in the Way. If the seeker remains aware and attuned to these in the walking, he/she has a broad toolchest--and a few secrets--to find a way through every stage.

This class is designed to help the seeker understand and make the quantum shift from the world of the self to the world of the Divine. We will explore the various blockages keeping each student from this experience, and walk as a class into a deeper experience of this peaceful reality.

This class meets once per month to study energy/spiritual healing, practice in groups of two, and recieve direct mentorship in the various healing skills.
This class is for the brand new person who has never heard of the Austin Sufi Center. This class is promoted throughout Austin. Concepts covered are "What is Sufism?" and the opportunities offered by the Center to help people in their spiritual journey.
The "Adab" or deep politeness, if often described as the essence of the Sufi way. Through this class we will discuss the deeper meanings of adab, and how it involves our relationship with God as well as our dealings with others. We will explore the pillars of adab, both inner and outer, and come to understand why it at the center of our Way.
Islam is best taught by an authorized representative of the religion, i.e. a scholar. However, beginners and Americans unfamiliar with Islam are often looking for a more accessible way to understand the richness of the Islamic tradition. We will begin by covering "What is Islam?" Exploring meanings, definitions, and their history. We will then talk about the essentials of faith and practice in Islam. Finally, we will understand the aspects of the traditional Islamic university curriculum, which subjects are considered important, and why they are taught in a certain order, in order to appreciate the breath and knowledge necessary to understand the "din."
